The Philadelphia Eagles are pulling out all the stops for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game. As they should be.

The team officially announced that franchise legends Brian Dawkins and Wilbert Montgomery will be honorary captains for Philadelphia’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Nothing gets Eagles fans fired up like B-Dawk, who currently has a role in Philadelphia’s front office as a football operations executive. The crowd is already going to be nuts on Sunday but Dawkins’ presence is only going to help take it to the next level.

Montgomery was the Eagles’ all-time leader rushing prior to LeSean McCoy breaking his record in 2014.

In addition to naming the honorary captains, the Eagles also officially announced The Roots will be performing at halftime, as previously noted. That’s very cool.

The National Anthem will be performed by retired Naval Petty Officer, 1st Class, Generald Wilson.

United States Navy Lieutenant Commander Chris Napierkowski will be honored as the hometown hero.

Feels like a win.
