Eagles open as home underdogs against Vikings in NFC Championship Game

The early betting lines for the 2018 NFC Championship Game are out and the Minnesota Vikings are 3.5 point favorites over the Philadelphia Eagles.

To put this in perspective, the home team in an average matchup usually opens as three point home favorites. The Eagles are 6.5 points below that norm.

That’s right: for the second week in a row, the Eagles are UNDERDOGS at home.

And the team couldn’t be more happy about it.

The No. 1 seed Eagles really relished being underdogs to the No. 6 seed Falcons in the Divisional Round. Philadelphia went out and proved their doubters wrong by beating Atlanta.

Now the Eagles will have a chance to shock the world again.

Make no mistake: the Vikings are a tough opponent. They have one of the best defenses in the NFL and their wide receivers are really good. Case Keenum has made some big throws.

But there’s just no reasonable reason to count the Eagles out entirely. We’ve seen time and time again that the Birds just FIGHT. And you have to feel good about the Eagles when they have the best home record (14-3) of any team since the beginning of the 2016 season.

The underdogs pulled off the upset once. Now let’s see them do it again.
