Darren Sproles Injury: Eagles running back gets hurt in Giants game

Yikes.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles suffered a wrist injury during the team’s Week 3 home game against the New York Giants.

Sproles went down after getting tackled on a run play. He remained on the ground for a good amount of time before eventually getting up and walking off the field on his own power. From there, Sproles walked to the locker room with a slight limp.

The Eagles ruled Sproles questionable to return with a wrist injury, which is weird because it looked like he had a lower body issue. But I guess not.

Sproles is obviously a very important player to the Eagles’ success. He’s a great weapon as a runner, receiver, and punt returner. Not to mention a well-respected leader in the locker room.

There were already concerns about the Eagles’ running game entering this week. Losing Sproles does not help matters.

In other injury news, starting linebacker Jordan Hicks left the game early with an ankle injury and was ruled questionable to return.
