The big news is that Rasul Douglas is ACTIVE after being a healthy scratch in Week 1. The Eagles needed their 2017 third-round pick to suit up due to the ankle injury sustained by Ronald Darby in Week 1.
It’s unclear if Douglas will start. The feeling here is that Douglas might rotate with Jaylen Watkins at outside cornerback opposite of Jalen Mills. Doug Pederson made it sound like the Eagles plan to keep Patrick Robinson in the slot, but we’ll see.
Another guy who might be in the corner mix is Dexter McDougle. The Eagles kept him inactive last week. He figures to be Robinson’s backup, but maybe Philly has other plans for him.
2017 sixth-round pick Elijah Qualls is also active for the first time in his career. Fourth defensive tackle Destiny Vaeao is out due to a wrist injury. Qualls looked good in the preseason. He could see a few reps in a rotational role today.
Backup safety Corey Graham is ACTIVE despite being listed questionable on the final Eagles-Chiefs injury report with a hamstring injury.
Marcus Johnson is inactive after suiting up in Week 1. He’s the team’s fifth receiver behind Alshon Jeffery, Torrey Smith, Nelson Agholor, and Mack Hollins.
Note that the Eagles only had to list six inactives (instead of the usual seven) because they currently only have 52 players on the roster.
Here’s a look at all seven names, along with some analysis.
