Episode #259 crew: John Barchard, James Seltzer

John and James recap an exciting, and at times frustrating, 30-17 Eagles win over Washington.

The guys break down the win from every angle, beginning with the biggest positive they took away from it -- this Eagles defensive line is really good. John and James discuss the strong play from the front four, and what it could mean for the team over the course of the season.

Another positive was the play of Carson Wentz. Sure, there were a few mistakes along the way, but Wentz showed some special ability in the win over Washington, and it has the BGN crew feeling very optimistic about the ginger's future.

Speaking of optimism, Nelson Agholor may not suck at football. He certainly didn't against Washington. But is it a sign of things to come, or just a mirage? The fellas answer this question and more as they break down the strong outing from No. 13.

You know who else had a strong outing? Zach Ertz. Which is hard to believe because it's September, but it actually happened. The guys discuss Ertz's nice game, and whether we can expect it to be the norm moving forward.

However, not everything was positive for the Birds, as the running game struggled just as much as many expected. The guys talk about the flawed running attack, and wonder if there is any hope for it this season.

Another obvious area of concern was the injury to Ronald Darby. The fellas discussed it in-depth, including the ramifications for the defense if he's out for an extended period of time.

John and James also talked about the O-line's performance, Doug Pederson's play calling, Jim Schwartz's aggressiveness, Alshon Jeffrey's Eagles debut, and much more.

And much more!
