The Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced the inactives list for their Week 1 game against the Washington Redskins.
None of these players are injured, so they’re all healthy scratches for this game.
Only two of the Eagles’ eight picks from the 2017 NFL Draft are on the Week 1 active roster.
Donnel Pumphrey, who the Eagles traded up for in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, is the team’s fifth string running back. Corey Clement, an undrafted free agent, is active over him and will potentially be fielding kickoff returns along with Wendell Smallwood.
Rasul Douglas, a third round pick, is inactive as a depth cornerback. Jaylen Watkins, who plays at safety and corner, is active over him.
Shelton Gibson, a fifth round rookie, is the sixth string receiver.
Elijah Qualls, a 2017 sixth round pick, is caught up in a numbers crunch at defensive tackle.
Chance Warmack is inactive because he only plays guard.
Steven Means is the fifth string defensive end.
Dexter McDougle is the backup slot cornerback and he’s still new to the team.
With Douglas and McDougle down, the Eagles only have three active corners: Ronald Darby, Jalen Mills, and Patrick Robinson. Malcolm Jenkins, Corey Graham, and Watkins have some corner versatility, however.
