An ESPN QB analyst compares Carson Wentz to Blake Bortles

Another day, another Carson Wentz slander on our hands. It seems like the Eagles quarterback can satisfy the entire fan base but still struggles to turn doubters into believers outside of Philadelphia. I know what you are thinking, "Who gives a shit?" Well actually, a lot of people seem to give a shit.

Have you ever heard of Cian Fahey? No? Well, he is what I call a 'Twitter analyst'. The type of guy who will tweet out just about anything to make himself sound correct. From what I have heard he has had Wentz labeled as a bust since he was coming out of North Dakota State. Okay, so this is a classic case of somebody praying for the failure of a player to be correct. I mean, come on now, last week when Wentz threw a bomb to Torrey Smith the guy said that the ball was in the air too long. He even said that Wentz was throwing to wide receivers that were wide open. So basically Wentz was criticized for doing his job well, got it?

How do they compare?

So Fahey fired off earlier in the week with an article comparing Wentz to Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback, Blake Bortles. If you are unfamiliar with him, he is the former UCF quarterback who was drafted at No.3 overall in 2014. Bortles won the starting spot in his rookie season by Week 3 and finished up the season with 2,908 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions.

So basically the whole article was meant to show why Wentz is not a good QB so he highlighted a bunch of GIF's with "interceptable" passes thrown by Wentz. Apparently, Wentz would have had 31 interceptions last season if the defensive backs held on to the passes. I would love to see this guy go through and criticize every other quarterback in the leagues "interceptable" passes.

After the entire article though, this guy's best argument for comparing Wentz to Bortles was the fact that they are both athletic and almost the same age. That's it, that is seriously his comparison. Quick lesson here for fans that are heavily invested into Eagles twitter. Do NOT let these analysts fire you up. They will say anything to make their early projections seem correct.
