It’s been less than a week since the Philadelphia Eagles traded Jordan Matthews and a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Ronald Darby, but I think it’s already safe to say the Eagles won the trade.
Not only has Darby looked pretty good in practice; he also made an interception in the Eagles’ second preseason game. Against his former team!
Darby had another chance at a pick-six earlier in the game but he couldn’t catch the ball, which is an issue with him. He still knocked it down, though.
As for the Bills, well, Matthews isn’t even playing tonight. He’s been listed as week-to-week due to a chest injury, which is unfortunate.
But there should be little doubt the Eagles won the trade. If one preseason game can’t convince you, I don’t know what will.
(For real, though, Darby looks good out there!)
