Alshon Jeffery will suit up and play in the Philadelphia Eagles’ preseason game against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night, a source tells BGN Radio’s John Barchard.

Earlier this week, Doug Pederson said he was “leaning” towards Jeffery making his Eagles debut at Lincoln Financial Field but didn’t officially commit to No. 17 playing.

Jeffery injured his shoulder during a training camp practice a few weeks ago. The veteran wide receiver missed some practice time before eventually returning in a limited capacity. He’s been full participant in recent practices and now he’ll make his debut in front of Philly fans at the Linc on Thursday evening. Exciting stuff!

It goes without saying that Jeffery is a key player for this Eagles team. It’ll be fun to see him in real game action for the first time this summer.

Pederson said he was leaning towards Ronald Darby also making his Eagles debut tonight. There hasn’t been an update beyond that, though, so stay tuned.

Jason Peters is reportedly out tonight due to personal reasons, per John Clark. Lane Johnson will start at left tackle while Matt Tobin will be at right tackle. Halapoulivaati Vaitai would normally be starting on the right side in this situation but he’s injured.
