In case you didn’t hear, the Philadelphia Eagles have a new cornerback! The team acquired Ronald Darby by trading Jordan Matthews and a 2018 third-round pick to the Buffalo Bills.
Here’s a video of Darby’s highlights in order to get better acquainted with him. Click here or watch below.
Here’s another video that features highlights from his best NFL season as a rookie in 2015. (Warning: turn down the music.)
For a non-highlights video that features a more detailed breakdown of Darby’s play, see below.
The next video below specifically features Darby matched up against New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in 2015. Darby helped hold OBJ to only five receptions for 38 yards and zero touchdowns. That matchup marks the lowest yards per reception (7.6) Beckham has ever had in a single game of his career. Note that Beckham’s career average is 14.3 yards per reception. It’ll sure be interesting to see these guys battle twice a year now that they’re both in the NFC East.
And just for fun, here’s a clip of Darby covering the guy the Eagles traded in order to get him: JMatt.
