How about that?

We’ve known that the Philadelphia Eagles will play on Christmas this year ever since the 2017 NFL regular season schedule was officially released back in April. Now we know the Eagles won’t be the only Philly team playing on December 25.

It turns out that the Sixers will also be playing on Christmas Day. Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, and company will face off against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Spike Eskin of The Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast first reported the news yesterday evening.

The official tip-off is set for 12:00 noon. That means the game will be way over before the Eagles’ Monday Night Football game against the Oakland Raiders begins at 8:30 PM.

It’s cool to see that Philadelphia sports will be in the national spotlight on the biggest holiday of the year. I’m sure no one will make a single Santa Claus joke.

Anyone out there planning on trying to attend both games in one day? If so, you’re crazy, but I respect you and I wish you good luck.
