Shortly after Chris Long signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, the veteran defensive end told the guys over at Pardon My Take about how he plans to stand to the left of Fletcher Cox a lot this year. He indeed posed for a picture with Cox earlier this offseason.
But Cox isn’t the only player Long can stand next to in order to make for a funny picture. There’s also Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson.
When Long saw Johnson was going to warm up with the other offensive lineman near the sideline, he called him over and made the big blocker stretch next to him instead. I don’t know if Johnson was getting it right away, but I’m sure he’s caught on by now. BEHOLD:
Chris Long made Lane Johnson come over to warm up next to him.

I’m not sure if Long purposely planned to warm up behind Darrell Greene so the Eagles would have “Long Greene Johnson” but that’s what ended up happening in any case.
This has been a very important blog post. Thanks for reading.
