NFL Supplemental Draft 2017 results: No one was picked for the second year in a row

Shocking news!

NFL: NFL Meetings Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The 2017 NFL Supplemental Draft has come and gone. None of the players who were eligible to be drafted were picked, as I accurately predicted in my mock draft. This marks the second year in a row where the NFL Supplemental Draft has gone without a single player being selected.

The two prospects who were eligible for the 2017 NFL Supplemental Draft are now free to sign with any team as an undrafted rookie free agent. The two players are: Western New Mexico running back Marques Rodgers and Georgia Military College defensive end Tavares Bingham.

The Philadelphia Eagles currently don’t have any open roster spots so they’d need to make a cut in order to sign one of these players. That seems very unlikely to happen.

Now that the NFL Supplemental Draft is out of the way, there's really nothing else scheduled to take place on the NFL calendar before training camp starts in less than two weeks on July 24. Then I can stop doing stupid posts like this one! (Just kidding I’ll never stop.)
