Two of the Philadelphia Eagles’ four 2017 preseason games will be aired on national television this summer, according to an announcement from the league. The following two games will be available live on NFL Network.
1) The Eagles’ third preseason game against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, August 24 at 7:00 PM ET.
2) The Eagles’ fourth preseason game against the New York Jets on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 PM ET.
Meaningless football isn’t all that exciting (unless you’re a weirdo like me) but this is still good news for out-of-towners who otherwise wouldn’t be able to watch the Eagles’ local preseason broadcast.
It’s especially nice the third preseason game will be aired because that’s always the dress rehearsal game. The starters will play at least the first half and likely into the third quarter. In addition, the Eagles will be holding joint training camp practices with the Dolphins leading up to that game.
On the flip side, the fourth preseason game will be boring for a lot of people because most starters won’t play at all.
As a reminder, here is the Eagles’ entire 2017 preseason schedule.
