Let's get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...
Mayock: Carson Wentz Represents Hope - PE.com
In the last 10 years of evaluating quarterbacks for the NFL Draft, Mike Mayock says that the two easiest evaluations were Andrew Luck, who went No. 1 overall to the Colts in 2012, and the Eagles' Carson Wentz. "Regardless of what college Wentz came out of, he was that easy to do on film," Mayock said. "I think when you meet the kid and shake his hand and talk to him and get a feel for him, I feel the same way as when I'm going to sit with Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Drew Brees. He gives you the same vibe." For Mayock, the NFL Network's top draft analyst and a Philadelphia native, Wentz provides the Eagles with an answer to the most critical question in the sport.
Nelson Agholor could benefit from a Jordan Matthews trade - BGN
Jordan Matthews has been a name that’s been floated out in trade rumors this offseason, and for good reason. Matthews has produced OK numbers in an offense that has force fed him the ball, and as a result he’ll likely ask for a contract that’s far above his actual value. It’s common sense that teams want value for a player, as opposed to letting him walk, look no further than Timmy Jernigan. The Ravens knew they would be unable to re-sign him, so they flipped him for a third round pick swap. It only makes sense to try and trade Matthews before you ultimately let him walk, unless he’s actually Jahlil Okafor, then you pay somebody to take him.

Eagles rookie NFL player comparisons: Shelton Gibson - PhillyVoice
If Gibson can get past his early struggles and carve out a career in the NFL, a player who makes sense as a comparison is Aldrick Robinson, who has played for the Redskins and Falcons, and will play for the 49ers in 2017. Robinson was drafted by the Redskins in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft and did not make the 53-man roster, eventually landing on the practice squad. In 2012 and 2013, he made the team and was able to contribute the occasional big play. Here were his numbers those two years:
Gang Green Ranked 1st, Again - Iggles Blitz
The 1991 Eagles defense, lovingly known as Gang Green, finished 1st against the run, the pass and in overall defense. To give you an idea how special that is, they are the only team to do that in the last 40 years. Gang Green finished 1st in something else. That was an amazing unit. And I don’t use that word lightly. Jim Johnson coached some really good defenses (2002, 2008), but the 1991 unit, which was built by Buddy Ryan and coached by Bud Carson, was on a special level. They were amazing.
The O line? The pass rush? Revisiting the Eagles' spring - Bucks County Courier Times
It was hard not to notice quarterback Carson Wentz’s eyes light up and a smile crease his face whenever he was asked about Alshon Jeffery, in particular. “His catch radius is unbelievable, so having a guy like that you know if he’s covered, if you’re confident and on the same page, you can just give him a chance,” said Wentz. “We’re continually working through that. It’s still a work in progress, but he’s been great, having that big body out there has been pretty fun.” Attendance is expected to be high at a workout/bonding session that Wentz will host in North Dakota with his receivers, tight ends and running backs sometime before training camp begins July 24. It is Jeffery, though, who figures to be this year’s difference-maker on offense. Could he be to the Eagles what Terrell Owens was back in 2004?
Eagles Better or Worse 2017: Tight ends - CSN Philly
No position on the Eagles roster remained more static than at tight end, where the depth chart projects to look exactly the same in 2017 as it was last season. That means whether the unit is better or worse is dependent entirely upon the development or regression of the players who are already here – Zach Ertz, Brent Celek and Trey Burton.
Andy Reid could move into the NFL’s Top 5 in coaching wins - PFT
Andy Reid isn’t usually named among the great coaches in NFL history, but perhaps he will be by the time he serves out his newly extended contract. The Chiefs and Reid have just agreed on a new five-year contract, and if the 59-year-old Reid coaches five more years at the 11-wins-a-year pace he’s been on in Kansas City, he’d move into fifth place all-time in career wins.
Andy Reid will not be taking over as Chiefs GM - Arrowhead Pride
Frankly, this is good news. A head coach and a GM are two different jobs that two different people should fill, not one person. Reid did that in Philly and had some struggles with it. Reid has repeatedly said here in Kansas City that he loves being the coach and not a front office guy.
Ron Jaworski is 'in limbo' and unsure of ESPN status - Philly.com
Appearing on the Doomsday Podcast, hosted by columnist Matt Mosley and his former ESPN colleague Ed Werder, Jaworski addressed the rumors that he’s been laid off by conceding he didn’t know if he’ll be part of the network’s coverage of the NFL this coming season. “I wish I could give you a definitive answer, but I don’t have one,” Jaworski said. “I do not know what the future is going to hold. I still have a contract with them until May 31st of 2022, and if they choose to want to use me in some other areas, that is being talked about with my agent basically as we speak.”
Which player would each NFL team protect in an NHL-style expansion draft? - SB Nation
Fletcher Cox’s ability to stop the run and provide a solid pass-rushing presence from the trenches makes him a valuable presence — and at just 26 years old, he’s the kind of building block who can contribute well into the future. He beats out an aging Jason Peters and interior lineman Jason Kelce as the team’s pick.
