As expected, the Sixers selected Markelle Fultz with the first overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft on Thursday night. Everyone knew this was going to happen after the Sixers officially traded up on Monday, but now it’s official. Fultz joins a promising young Sixers core that features other key players such as Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Dario Saric, and others
In honor of his arrival to Philadelphia, several Eagles players welcomed Fultz to the city on Twitter ... including Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz:
Welcome to Philly @MarkelleF ! Y'all about to do big things @sixers !
— Carson Wentz (@cj_wentz) June 22, 2017
And fellow Washington Huskies alumnus Sidney Jones:
Congrats bro @MarkelleF #PhillyBoys

And here’s the rest:
Welcome to the city @MarkelleF #Philly #trusttheprocess

Can't wait to see the completion of #TheProcess in the coming years!! Congrats @MarkelleF, welcome to Philly!!

Congrats to @MarkelleF excited to have another @demathacatholic guy here in #Philly. #Philly show him some brotherly love.

Always cool to see the Eagles showing some Brotherly Love to the other teams in the city. As the Sixers continue to get better, I’m sure we’ll be seeing more Eagles players sitting courtside at the games.
