The Philadelphia Eagles have invited a total of 20 tryout players to the team's 2017 rookie minicamp which begins on Friday, May 12.
Keep in mind these players are not officially under contract. They have only been invited to rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. More likely than not the Eagles are just looking for extra bodies to fill practice reps this weekend. As you can see below, some of the guys are local players.
The Eagles actually ended up signing two of their rookie tryout players last offseason: David Watford and M.J. MacFarland. Watford ending up making the practice squad last season. So it’s possible at least one of these tryout players ends up sticking around for more than just this weekend.
