BGN Mock Draft 2017: Best and Worst Picks in the Top 10

A look at the first 10 picks of the 2017 BGN community mock draft.

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The first 10 picks of the 2017 BGN Community Mock Draft are in. Let's take a look at some of the best and worst picks so far based on the approval polls.

Best pick: Myles Garrett at No. 1 to the Browns

Worst pick: Corey Davis at No. 8 to the Panthers

An entire recap of the first ten picks below.

1) Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M - [Pick]

GM: JALupowitz
Approval: 94%

Seems like it would be a shocker to see anyone else go No. 1. This pick could easily be the winner in this year’s mock.

2) San Francisco 49ers: Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford - [Pick]

GM: sports00fan00
Approval: 65%

The 49ers might look to go quarterback or safety here, which doesn’t make Thomas a slam dunk pick. But he’s clearly one of the best pass rushers in this draft.

3) Chicago Bears: Jonathan Allen, DT, Alabama - [Pick]

GM: gubby
Approval: 71%

Another team that could look to go quarterback early but I guess Chicago just might like Mike Glennon. Allen sure has some good tape but those arthritic shoulders really concern me.

4) Jacksonville Jaguars: Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU - [Pick]

GM: TheWhalwing
Approval: 63%

Running back in the top five is risky. The guy better be really, really good. Fournette has the potential to be, and the Jaguars sure need help at running back, so maybe it works for them. Oh wait no it won’t it’s Jacksonville.

5) Tennessee Titans: Jamal Adams, S, LSU - [Pick]

GM: drc242
Approval: 91%

Pretty nice for the Titans to be able to add a player like Adams to their team after having a promising season on the rise last year.

6) New York Jets: Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State - [Pick]

GM: boomorbust
Approval: 76%

The Jets pass up on the quarterbacks to take a cornerback here. There’s buzz about Lattimore going top five so I don’t think it’s an unrealistic pick.

7) Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State - [Pick]

GM: NowWhat?
Approval: 68%

Some projections have Hooker going as high as No. 2. The Chargers would probably be happy with him falling here. I think some people are just hating on NowWhat?’s unique write-up for the pick.

8) Carolina Panthers: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan - [Pick]

GM: B-Potts
Approval: 54%

If the Panthers are looking for a new pass catching weapon, tight end O.J. Howard might be the the better pick here despite the fact I like Davis. Howard and Greg Olsen together would be quite the two tight end set.

9) Cincinnati Bengals: Reuben Foster, LB, Alabama - [Pick]

GM: Kiko’s Delivery Service
Approval: 77%

Geez. Imagine Foster and Vontaze Burfict paired up together. Not exactly a pair of dudes you wanna mess with.

10) Buffalo Bills: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama - [Pick]

GM: jimmyrustler
Approval: 83%

Howard has the makings of an elite tight end; he’s a very good athlete. Tyrod Taylor needs some more help than just Sammy Watkins so perhaps Howard could be his trusty target over the middle.
