Gareon Conley -- a projected 1st round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft -- has been named in a police report by a woman who claims he raped her in a Cleveland hotel but he adamantly DENIES the allegations.
The 21-year-old was a superstar cornerback at Ohio State University and draft experts say he could be drafted as high as #10 in the draft on Thursday.
But according to a police report filed in Cleveland, a 23-year-old white female told police Conley violated her in a hotel suite bathroom at a Westin hotel on April 9.
TMZ has more details on the police report so click on the link above. There haven’t been any arrests or charges at the timing of this post and Conley’s attorney has denied the allegations.
This is obviously significant news as the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia is only two days away. Conley is expected to be a high first round draft pick, and there’s a lot of buzz connecting him to the Eagles. One rumor indicates the Eagles “love” Conley at No. 14. Other reports suggest he could be picked in the top 10.
The Eagles seemingly brought Conley to Philadelphia for a pre-draft visit in late March. They’ve already done some homework on him but they could need to do more now given these allegations.
