Another 2017 NFL schedule leak has emerged. The Philadelphia Eagles will play the Washington Redskins in Week 1 this year, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan. The game is to set place at FedEx Field in Washington D.C. Landover, Maryland.
The Eagles haven’t beaten Washington since the 2014 season. You have to go all the way back to Chip Kelly’s first game with the Eagles since Philadelphia actually won a game at FedEx Field. Hopefully the Birds will be able to break that losing streak early this season.
Washington has gone through a lot of turmoil this offseason. They fired their most successful general manager in recent history and they’ve botched the Kirk Cousins situation. Maybe their dysfunction is just what the Eagles need to get back to beating Washington.
To recap, here’s what we’ve heard about the Eagles schedule so far:
Week 1 - at Washington Redskins
Week 3 - versus New York Giants
Week 13 - at Seattle Seahawks
Week 14 - at Los Angeles Rams
Week 15 - at New York Giants
