Important preseason schedule analysis
None of the teams the Eagles play in the preseason also appear on Philadelphia’s regular season schedule. So that’s nice.
LeSean McCoy once again comes back to the Linc in the second preseason week. Former Eagles defensive coordinator and now Bills head coach Sean McDermott is another notable Philly return.
The Eagles will face off against Adam Gase for the first time since Philadelphia tried to hire him last offseason.
The preseason schedule wraps up with the annual backup bowl tradition with the New York Jets. This marks the 17th consecutive year the Eagles finish their preseason versus the Jets. The two teams have played in 31 of the last 32 preseasons (and twice in 1992).
And MOST importantly: Doug Pederson is 4-0 in the preseason. He’ll try to preserve his undefeated streak this summer.
Speaking of schedules, here’s a reminder of the Eagles' 2017 regular season opponents. The full NFL schedule won't be officially released for a week or so, but here’s a look at who the Eagles play this year.
