Right before Alshon Jeffery officially signed with the Eagles on Thursday (still feels weird writing that!), there was some talk that the Minnesota Vikings were trying to make a last-minute push for him. In fact, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports the Vikings made a large, multi-year offer to Jeffery. But the free agent wide receiver turned it down.
Alshon Jeffery turned down a multi-year deal with more security from Vikings, but he is betting himself long term with the Eagles and Wentz

So, in other words, Jeffery turned down MILLIONS (and millions!) of dollars to play with Carson Wentz instead of former Eagles and current Vikings quarterback ... Sam Bradford.
Funny how that turned out, huh?
Earlier this offseason, ESPN reported free agent wide receivers wanted to come to Philadelphia because of Wentz. Looks like they weren’t kidding because the Eagles got the top one on the market in Jeffery. Torrey Smith is also in the fold now as well.
After an up-and-down rookie season, Wentz obviously has a long way to go before he can be considered one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks. The fact that he has some ACTUAL NFL caliber wide receivers to work with should assist his development.
Today is fun.
