Kenny Britt’s agent denies his client signed with the Eagles (or any team)

Cold water on the rumors.

A few unsubstantiated rumors popped up on Tuesday about Kenny Britt signing with the Eagles.

First it was one Twitter user who claimed he saw Britt in Atlantic City. The same user claimed Britt told him he signed in Philly and tweeted a picture of a receipt with Britt’s name on it.

A few hours after that, Smitty from Barstool chimed in with this tweet.

As it turns out, though, Britt hasn’t agreed to terms with the Eagles (or any team) just yet. At least that’s what his agent Fadde Mikhail claims.

Britt can negotiate with the Eagles since the NFL’s legal tampering period opened on Tuesday. But he’s not allowed to visit Philadelphia’s facility until the new league year begins at 4:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 9. He also can’t officially ink a deal until that time, either.

But just because Britt hasn’t agreed to terms with the Eagles yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen at all. On Monday, ESPN reported the Eagles have interest in Britt. Earlier today, I explained why Britt makes some sense for Philadelphia.

We’ll see what happens. I certainly wouldn’t close the door on Britt ending up with the Eagles, but for now his agent is denying the rumors that are floating around out there. So that’s where we’re at.
