The NFL is in a bit of a lull now that we’re a couple weeks removed from the start of free agency but still more than a month away from the 2017 NFL Draft. The Philadelphia Eagles weren’t as busy in free agency this year as they’ve been in past years, but here’s a recap of all the moves made.
Signed by Eagles
Free agents from other teams
WR Alshon Jeffery (1 year, $14 million)
WR Torrey Smith (1 year, $5 million ... plus two team options)
OG Chance Warmack (1 year, $1.51 million)
QB Nick Foles (2 years, $11 million)
Re-signed by Eagles
OL Stefen Wisniewski (3 years, $9 million)
LB Najee Goode (1 year, $875K)
TE Trey Burton (Second-round RFA tender)
S Jaylen Watkins (Re-signed as an ERFA)
Trades
Surprisingly no trades yet, though C Jason Kelce and LB Mychal Kendricks are expected to be moved at some point. The Eagles are also reportedly open to offers for WR Jordan Matthews.
Eagles Free Agents
DT Bennie Logan - Signed one-year contract with the Chiefs
CB Nolan Carroll - Signed three-year deal with the Cowboys
LB Stephen Tulloch
DE Bryan Braman
RB Kenjon Barner - Signed deal with the Chargers
Cut by Eagles
DE Connor Barwin - Signed one-year contract with the Rams
QB Chase Daniel - (Visiting Saints and Jets)
CB Leodis McKelvin
Expected cuts
It’s believed RB Ryan Mathews will be officially released when he’s healthy enough to pass a physical. CB Ron Brooks might be in the same boat. There was some thought that OG Allen Barbre was in danger of being cut/traded but he’s reportedly safe.
