Alabama linebacker Ryan Anderson visited the Eagles on an official pre-draft visit in Philadelphia on Monday, according to a report from AL.com’s Matt Zenitz. Anderson is one of 30 prospects who will have visited the Eagles prior to the 2017 NFL Draft.

Anderson measures in at 6-2, 253 pounds. He played 44 games for the Crimson Tide over four years. During that span, Anderson logged 128 tackles (39.5 for loss), 19 sacks, four forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and one interception returned for a defensive touchdown.

In the NFL, Anderson projects as a 4-3 strong-side linebacker. There’s thought he could play 3-4 outside linebacker.

CBS Sports ranks Anderson as the 92nd overall prospect in this year’s draft class. They project him to be a third-round selection.

BGN draft writer Ben Natan wrote about Anderson prior to the 2017 Senior Bowl.

Ryan Anderson may be the most productive defender in Mobile this week. Despite not even being one of the top three defenders on his own team, Anderson is still a stud in his own right. Anderson is not only versatile, but he is incredibly physical and has a non stop motor. His ability to constantly get after it, especially against the run, makes him an exciting defensive prospect. For the Eagles, they might want to see Anderson be a bit bigger, but a strong week of practice could assuage any worries about his build.
