LeSean McCoy caused a stir on Sunday morning when he published a post with a cryptic caption on his official Instagram account.
Interesting phrasing, huh?
Posting “Buffalo was so special... thanks for everything” caused some people to believe McCoy had been cut. But that’s not the case, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, McCoy hasn’t been cut. The message relates to an appearance (specifically, an autograph signing) that occurred in Buffalo on Saturday.
So McCoy hasn’t been released ... yet. PFT notes there’s still a possibility McCoy could end up as a cap casualty, as has already been suggested this offseason.
I still don’t see it happening. Even if McCoy isn’t a perfect fit for the new coaching, he’s still a pretty productive player.
But who knows for sure. If McCoy does get cut, maybe the Eagles would have some interest since they need help at running back. But even if Philadelphia doesn’t want him back, it’ll be interesting to see where Shady ultimately ends up.
