Philadelphia Eagles starting right guard Brandon Brooks might be a tough, physical dude on NFL Sundays, but he’s not afraid to show his softer side off the field. On Friday, Brooks bought a brand new car for his father and posted a touching message on Twitter.
I've been blessed and it was time to pass it on. So to my dad although I would've loved the chevelle. I wanted you to have this. ✊ pic.twitter.com/Y2q7AbVKqr

In case you can’t see it, the message reads as follows.
Growing up we didn’t always see eye to eye and one day you told me I’d understand. At that time I thought yeah whatever why can’t you just let me run the streets and be left alone. Once I graduated college and [started] living on my [own] at 23 I started to see and at 27 I’m starting to understand. The reason you were so hard on me was for my benefit. You didn’t want me to be a statistic. It was to make me allergic to average. It was to create a work ethic that would allow me to reach dreams no matter what they were or how the cards were stacked against me. I realize now it’s not always the easiest deal to be a father to a child while going through a divorce and [spending] half the time with your son. While trying to be the role model I need knowing I was watching your every move and would emulate you. Although I can never pay you back this is a small token of my appreciation. I love You Pops.
Very cool move by Brooks.
Is it getting dusty in here or is it just me?
