Taking all bets!

Three weeks from today, NFL teams will be permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with agents for pending unrestricted free agents.

Ergo, ALSHON JEFFERY SWEEPSTAKES COMIN’.

The Eagles have been repeatedly linked to Alshon Jeffery, the stud Chicago Bears wide receiver who is slated to become an unrestricted free agent in March and make a whole boatload of money shortly thereafter.

Jeffery has 304 catches for 4,549 yards and 26 touchdowns in 56 career games, spread out over the past five seasons. At 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, the 27-year-old wideout (whose birthday is today!) is entering the prime of his career.

If you’re the kind of person who likes placing money on the odds of things happening, well, you’re in luck. You can now combine your desire for Jeffery to land in Philadelphia with your enjoyment of wagers.

According to Bookmaker.eu, the Eagles have the second-best odds of any team in the league of landing the playmaking wideout.

Here’s a full rundown of Bookmaker’s odds for which team Jeffery will be on for Week 1 in September:

In case you don’t know what those things mean (I sure as hell didn’t until I started writing at BGN, so don’t worry), here’s the general gist. If you bet $100 today on Jeffery landing with the Eagles, you can turn $100 into $1,000 when the Eagles inevitably reel in Alshon Jeffery during free agency. You would get your initial $100 investment back, and get $900 for being right!

Or, you know, you can just lose $100 and be really sad that Jeffery is going to be catching 80 passes from someone not named Carson Wentz. Either can work, really!

Do you feel bullish enough about the Eagles’ chances to land Jeffery that you’d wager $100?
