Philadelphia Eagles ticket prices raised for 2017 NFL season

NFL: New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

After not raising ticket prices since 2014, the Philadelphia Eagles are raising their ticket prices for the 2017 NFL season. PhillyInfluencer.com acquired a letter the Eagles recently sent out to the team’s season ticket holders.

Thank you for your support as an Eagles Season Ticket Member. Your passion and enthusiasm energizes Lincoln Financial Field every game day, and it is awesome!

Your Season Ticket account renewal information is now available online. Please note that season ticket prices have increased for the first time since 2014. As always, you have the option to pay in full, make two separate payments or enroll in the four-payment plan via your online Account Manager. If you choose to either pay in two installments or enroll in the four-payment plan, you must do so by March 15, 2017. Your account must be paid in full by June 15, 2017.

We will be using variable pricing, again, for the 2017 season. Individual game price categories will be announced at a later date. Please note that variable pricing does not affect the overall price of your season ticket package.

The increase averages $70 per season ticket, per the team (via Les Bowen).

If you’re wondering why the Eagles are raising ticket prices after two straight years of 7-9 records, the answer is: because they can. There’s an incredibly high demand for Eagles tickets. There’s a long waiting list to become a season ticket holder and individual game tickets (which should be available in May) always sell out in minutes.

Here’s a look at the eight teams the Eagles will play at Lincoln Financial Field next season. Note that the 2017 NFL schedule isn’t released until April.

Dallas Cowboys (13-3)

New York Giants (11-5)

Washington Redskins (8-7-1)

Arizona Cardinals (7-8-1)

San Francisco 49ers (2-14)

Denver Broncos (9-7)

Oakland Raiders (12-4)

Chicago Bears (3-13)

For those who aren’t able to purchase Eagles tickets, please note BGN hopes to team up with NRG Energy like we have in past seasons in order to give out free Eagles tickets during the season. Stay tuned for more information.
