Note that the Eagles will play their first game on Saturday, January 13 at 4:35 PM Eastern. If the Falcons upset the Rams, Philly will host Atlanta in the divisional round. If the Rams win, however, the Eagles will host the winner of the Saints-Panthers game.
The Eagles’ first game is an advantageous spot for a couple reasons. One, it means less resting for the visiting team. Two, it gives them an extra day of rest for their opponent in the championship game, if they make it there.
Winning in the playoffs obviously isn’t easy. It’ll only be harder for the Eagles now that they’re without Carson Wentz. Philadelphia will have to overcome the odds to go on a run. At least they’ll be at home in the playoffs.
