Official: Cowboys eliminated from the playoff picture

Lol Cowboys

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Christmas, Philadelphia Eagles fans.

The Dallas Cowboys have been OFFICIALLY eliminated from the 2018 NFL playoff picture after losing to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Dak Prescott, one of the most overrated players in the NFL, was incredibly unimpressive in the Cowboys’ loss. Shocker.

Facing an elimination game, Prescott posted the following stat-line: 21/34, 182 yards (5.4 average), 0 TD, 2 INT, 51.3 passer rating. Pretty pathetic.

Nice to know Prescott is taking up Tony Romo’s mantle as a choker in a big spot against the Seahawks.

For those keeping track, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has still thrown a touchdown pass more recently since tearing his ACL in Week 14. It’s very laughable to suggest there’s a debate regarding which NFC East quarterback is better.

Anyway, the Cowboys will travel to Philadelphia in Week 17 to play the Eagles. The game very well may be meaningless for both teams if the Birds clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a win over the Oakland Raiders on Christmas night.

In other news, Seattle kept their post-season hopes alive by beating Dallas. That’s the downside of today’s result.
