Awful.

The Eagles reportedly fear Carson Wentz suffered an ACL tear during Philadelphia’s 43-35 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Multiple reporters have weighed in on Wentz’s status.

Wentz seemingly suffered the injury during a run into the end zone in the third quarter of the Eagles-Rams game. He stayed in to throw a touchdown to Jeffery before heading to the sideline and being ruled out for the game.

This is all just terrible news. Sounds like the Eagles will be without their star quarterback and NFL MVP candidate for the rest of the season.

Philadelphia is headed to the post-season after officially clinch the NFC East so they’ll have to rely on their backup quarterback, Nick Foles, in the playoffs. Sigh.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was asked about Wentz’s status after the game but he didn’t provide any updates. He did note that Wentz was happy that the team won the NFC East.

Wentz’s injury is such a shitty development during a very promising season.
