The Philadelphia Eagles are still out on the West Coast for the second tilt of a three-game road stretch. Sunday’s matchup features a battle against the Los Angeles Rams.
It’s a huge game.
There are so many interesting angles to this game. Carson Wentz versus Jared Goff. Doug Pederson versus Sean McVay. Jim Schwartz versus Wade Phillips. Those guys aren’t necessarily directly facing each other, but their performances will certainly be compared side-by-side.
The importance of this game goes beyond the story-lines. Philadelphia needs to win this one in order to essentially lock up a first-round bye. A loss to the Rams would have people questioning just how good this Eagles team is ... especially after losing to the Seahawks last weekend.
The Eagles can prove their doubters wrong by going out and winning a big game on the road. Philadelphia is expected to have a lot of fans at this game, so they’ll have some nice support.
This is the DVOA Bowl. Both of these teams rank tied for No. 1 overall by Football Outsiders.
It’d be great to see the Eagles prove they’re the real No. 1.
Here's everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
