The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced their inactives list for their Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears.
Eagles kicker Jake Elliott is active, as expected. He cleared the NFL’s mandatory concussion protocol leading up to the game.
Eagles tight end Trey Burton and defensive tackle Beau Allen are OUT after originally being ruled questionable for Sunday’s game.
With Burton out, Zach Ertz and Brent Celek are the only tight ends active for Philadelphia. Doug Pederson said Celek’s playing time could increase during Burton’s absence.
Allen being out means rookie defensive tackle Elijah Qualls is active for the first time since Week 5. Qualls and Destiny Vaeao will be the backups to starters Fletcher Cox and Tim Jernigan.
Here’s an interesting thing: rookie wide receiver Shelton Gibson is active for the first time all season. The Eagles usually kept Marcus Johnson ahead of him but that’s not the case today. Maybe Philly wants to get him some playing time in the event of a blowout?
Veterans Dannell Ellerbe and Will Beatty are still inactive after signing with the Eagles last week.
Steven Means is active for the third time all season. He was last active in Week 5.
Wendell Smallwood is a healthy scratch for the second week in a row.
