THE EAGLES ARE 9-1 BABY!
John and James break down the Eagles' 37-9 throttling of the Cowboys.
The guys begin by congratulating the Philadelphia Eagles on winning the NFC East. While it's not official, you can feel good in assuming the Eagles have the division wrapped up.
UPDATED NFC EAST STANDINGS
— Brandon Lee Gowton (@BrandonGowton) November 20, 2017
1) Eagles: 9-1
2) Cowboys: 5-5
3) Washington: 4-6
4) Giants: 2-8https://t.co/R6ultsgN5K
John and James discuss the roller coaster of emotions they went through watching a sluggish first half performance, followed by a dominant 30-0 second half. Ultimately, the Eagles are a much better team and it showed over the course of 60 mins.
That was certainly the case for Carson Wentz, who had a rough first half before finding his groove in the second. Conversely, Dak Prescott never found his groove, throwing three interceptions in addition to losing a fumble. The fellas discuss the stark difference between the second-year quarterbacks and call out the losers who still refuse to acknowledge Wentz is better.
Another reason for the Eagles' second half surge was their play of their running attack, ultimately totaling 215 yards on the ground. Can you imagine how many yards they would've had if Doug Pederson had actually run the ball in the first half as well? The guys talk about the effectiveness of the running backs (by committee) and Doug's tale of two halves.
While the offense struggled early, the defense came to play from the jump and never let up. John and James discuss the brilliant job the defense did in keeping the Eagles in the game until the offense found its footing.
The guys also discuss Derek Barnett's awesomeness, the return of Ronald Darby, how much Dallas sucks, and more.
Final thoughts and a lot more!
