The Philadelphia Eagles released their second injury report on Thursday in advance of their Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers. After going through a walk-through on Wednesday, this was the Eagles’ first real practice this week.
Every player on the 53-man roster was a full participant today except for two: linebacker Jordan Hicks and cornerback Ronald Darby. Hicks was obviously out and Darby was limited.
The Eagles still haven’t put Hicks on injured reserve yet but it’s only a matter of time. Maybe they’re waiting to see how this week’s game goes before deciding what to do with his roster spot.
Darby being limited for the second day in a row makes it less likely that he’ll return this week. You never want to overlook an opponent, but there’s no reason for the Eagles to rush him back for this game if he’s not 100%. Maybe Darby will be good for Philly’s game against the Broncos in Week 9. If not, he should definitely be back when the Eagles return to action after their Week 10 bye.
Mychal Kendricks being a full participant in practice yet again is a good sign since he didn’t play on Monday night. He’ll see increased playing time with Hicks out due to injury.
An update on the offensive line situation: with Jason Peters out, Halapoulivaati Vaitai was seen taking reps at left tackle. It’s expected Lane Johnson will stay on the right side.

San Francisco 49ers Injury Report (Thursday)
The 49ers are dealing with a number of significant injuries.
Starting right guard Brandon Fusco and starting right tackle Trent Brown were out for the second day in a row. Not good news when you have to go up against an intimidating Eagles defensive line.
Starting wide receiver Marquise Goodwin did not practice after being limited on Wednesday. That seems like a bad sign for his playing chances. Goodwin ranks second among 49ers receivers in snaps played, targets, and receiving yards this season. The speedster is first on the team in yards per reception with 17.5.
Starting slot cornerback K’Waun Williams didn’t practice for the second day in a row. This week could be another big game for Nelson Agholor.
