Any week where the Philadelphia Eagles win is a good week.
But a week where the Eagles win and all three other NFC East teams lose?
Even better.
That’s exactly what happened in Week 4.
It’s the first time it happened since 2014.
The Eagles defeated the Los Angeles Chargers. The Dallas Cowboys lost The New York Giants lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And the Washington Redskins were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.
Here’s an updated look at the NFC East standings.
UPDATED NFC EAST STANDINGS
— Brandon Lee Gowton (@BrandonGowton) October 3, 2017
1st - Eagles (3-1)
2nd - Cowboys (2-2)
3rd - Washington (2-2)
4th - Giants (0-4)
The Eagles are alone up top with a 2-0 division and conference record. The Cowboys are 1-0 in the division but 2-1 in the conference. Washington is 0-1 in the division and 1-1 in conference games. The Giants are 0-2 in the division and 0-4 in the conference.
Now, none of the NFC East teams looked flat out horrible this week. The Cowboys only lost by five. The Giants lost on a last second field goal. And Washington would’ve potentially won if Josh Doctson doesn’t drop a touchdown pass late in the game. This division isn’t going to be a cakewalk for the Birds.
But the Eagles are the best team in the division right now through four games. Now it’s time for them to keep it going.
