Redskins cornerback Josh Norman suffered a rib injury during Washington’s Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. Speaking to ESPN during halftime, head coach Jay Gruden said Norman might miss a few weeks.
#Redskins coach Jay Gruden tells Lisa Salters at halftime that CB Josh Norman (ribs) is expected to be out a few weeks — at least.

This news is relevant to the Eagles because Washington is set to play Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 7 on Monday, October 23. It seems like Norman might miss that game.
Norman did a good job of limiting Alshon Jeffery (three receptions, 38 yards) during the Eagles-Washington game in Week 1. Norman is obviously one of the best players on Washington’s roster.
Even with Norman playing well, however, the Eagles still defeated Washington at FedEx Field by a final score of 30 to 17.
Washington hasn’t looked too shabby since losing to the Eagles, so their next matchup projects to be a tough game. If Norman isn’t able to play, that’s a significant loss for Washington.
UPDATE: Yikes.
One focus for #Redskins & CB Josh Norman (ribs) is a possible internal injury. I’m told they are particular concerned about a lung issue.
