Consider these numbers from ESPN Stats & Information: Their 34 completions this season is the most of any quarterback-tight end duo through Week 6. They have six red zone hookups, second only to Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald (7) to this point in the season. Wentz has targeted Ertz eight times in the red zone, which is even with Brady-Gronkowski, while their four red zone TDs is the most of any QB-TE combo.

I think you'd have to say they're as good as any team in the NFC right now. You've got to factor in that Aaron Rodgers got hurt. The Falcons had a crazy game where they were way ahead but then lost. The Eagles beat Carolina. Washington is playing a little better than I think most people thought — certainly than I thought — so we'll see how this week goes. The teams on the west coast have been a little bit up and down. So I'm hard pressed to say they're the best. On the other hand, I can't really name teams that I think are better. But offensive coordinator Frank Reich insinuated this week that Wentz's attempt to bulldoze Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson and safety Mikes Adams was unwise. The Eagles would rather have their franchise quarterback avoid those type of violent collisions. "When you look at his whole body of work, he's done a really good job with that," Reich said. "We had one little outlier incident that hopefully just remains an outlier."
