The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
There’s a significant surprise among the Eagles’ inactives: Isaac Seumalo. What the hell is going on here? The 2016 third-round pick went from being the unquestioned starter at left guard to being a healthy scratch by Week 4. That doesn’t seem ... good.
It just doesn’t make much sense. Seumalo, who can play center, at least offers versatility that Chance Warmack doesn’t. He shouldn’t be inactive.
With Seumalo inactive, it sounds like Stefen Wisniewski will start at left guard. If so, that’s the right move by the Eagles. Last week Warmack got the start and rotated with Wis but it was clear the latter outplayed the former. It sounds like the rotation might not be totally done, which is ridiculous if true.
#Eagles G/C Stefen Wisniewski, who handled most (not all) of reps at LG in practice this week, is slated to handle most of the snaps today.

Cox is among the five players who were ruled out on Friday. Beau Allen will start in his place. Backing up Allen and Tim Jernigan will be rookie sixth-round pick Elijah Qualls and the recently promoted Justin Hamilton.
Defensive end Steven Means is active for the first time all year. The Eagles are going a little heavy on the d-line with both Cox and Destiny Vaeao out.
Here’s a look at all seven inactive names, along with some brief analysis.
