DeFilippo is in his first year as quarterbacks coach with the Eagles after spending last season as the Browns offensive coordinator. DeFilippo is a familiar face to the Jets, having been their quarterbacks coach in 2009. The Jets have an opening at offensive coordinator after Chan Gailey retired.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network indicated that DeFilippo was if not the Jets top choice, he was one of them:
So much for that idea for NYJ. He wasn't the sole candidate but they liked him a lot. They might even look to the college ranks. Stay tuned. https://t.co/BPEy6ma1Cx

DeFilippo is, so far, the only candidate the Jets have reportedly expressed interest in.
