NFL 2017 Conference Championship Games: An Open Thread

The final four.

NFL: AFC Divisional-Houston Texans at New England Patriots James Lang-USA TODAY Sports

And then there were four!

The 2016-17 NFL season is down to just three games. Four of this season’s best teams are still alive, and the Eagles beat two of them which is kind of fun, and also a little sad.

In any case, there should be two very good football games happening today, and as an added bonus the games will determine which teams play in the Super Bowl. What a day!

Sunday’s first game pits the red-hot Packers against the Falcons, who are very good at scoring points, possibly better than any team in the league. I hope this is a complete and total shootout. I hope both teams score 40 points. I hope the Falcons win, but I think the Packers will, which is okay too.

And in the evening matchup, we get the Steelers traveling the northeast to face the Patriots. The Patriots are so dang good at winning that it has to be boring for them at some point, and yet they keep doing it, so I guess not. I’d love to see the Steelers win this game, but I have a feeling Tom ‘Make America Deflate Again’ Brady pulls it out.
