According to a report from Philly Voice’s Jimmy Kempski, the Eagles are considering moving on from starting center Jason Kelce his offseason.
Kelce, 29, signed a six-year extension with the team in 2014 and has spent his first six years in the NFL with the team.
He is owed just $2.4 million guaranteed money over the final three years of his contract, and if the Eagles release him after the new league year starts, they will save $3.8 million against the cap in 2017.
Kempski says in his report that Isaac seumalo, as expected, would be the most likely candidate to replace Kelde at center if the Eagles decide to go in that direction.
This is a breaking story; we’ll add more information as it comes in.
