Eagles sign a center, try not to get excited

Former starter for the Redskins

NFL: Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

According to Chris Russell of Washington D.C.’s 106.7 the Fan, the Eagles have signed center/guard Josh LeRibeus to a futures contract.

LeRibeus was a 3rd round pick by the Redskins in 2012. In his rookie season he was a backup guard and center, appearing in five games in mop up duty and on special teams. In 2013 he arrived to camp overweight and spent the entire season inactive.

In 2014 he started one game as an injury replacement for left guard Shawn Lauvao. In 2015 he took over starting center duties after Kory Lichtensteiger suffered a season-ending neck injury. LeRibeus was among final cuts for the 2016 season, he spent the entire year as a free agent.

And yes, he has a spider graph.

LeRibeus is the third free agent signed by the Eagles in a week, having previously added WR Rasheed Bailey and CB Mitchell White.
