Doug Pederson’s first regular season game week press conference got off to an interesting start on Wednesday.
About three minutes into his presser, the fire alarm at the NovaCare Complex started to go off.
Our friends over at Birds 24/7 were live on Facebook, so we have this indelible moment on video forever. The fire alarm comes in around three minutes in.
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is talking now.

Seems like Doug had a pretty good sense of humor about the whole thing:
Doug Pederson’s press conference interrupted by a fire alarm. He joked he has a button on his podium to activate it.

And, of course, there were your requisite hot take jokes:
Fire alarm interrupts Pederson presser. Must be more hot takes from @EliotShorrParks

Seems like every day is a new adventure at the NovaCare Complex this week. Maybe the alarm was just warning everyone of another impending trade from Howie Roseman. Who knows?
Here’s a rundown of what Pederson touched on during the presser:
Doug Pederson: Every #Eagles player will practice today. Vinny Curry will be limited.
— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) September 7, 2016
Doug Pederson: Carson Wentz was already in the film room at 5:45 this morning when I got to the facility.
— Josh Paunil (@JoshPaunil) September 7, 2016
Pederson: CJ Smith was one reason Rowe was expendable ... CJ not on 53 yet, though. Lot of competition at corner. Great opp for Rowe in NE.
— Les Bowen (@LesBowen) September 7, 2016
Pederson: C.J. Smith isn't on the 53-man roster yet. Not sure how #Eagles will fill that spot.
— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) September 7, 2016
Pederson says the playbook won't be cut at all because of Wentz being at QB instead of Bradford. Says he can add more QB runs #Eagles
— Eliot Shorr-Parks (@EliotShorrParks) September 7, 2016
Doug Pederson on Brandon Brooks: "He's really come on here, lately. He's such a powerful guy."
