The Eagles have made another addition to their practice squad, signing cornerback CJ Smith, originally reported by Adam Caplan.

In order to make room for Smith, the Eagles have released linebacker Quentin Gause.

Smith is an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State University, making him the third NDSU player on the Eagles roster along with Carson Wentz and fullback Andrew Bonnet, who was signed to the practice squad. Smith had a solid preseason, at times playing and practicing with the first team defense and getting a long look in the latter games.
The Eagles practice squad now stands at:
FB Andrew Bonnet
LB Don Cherry
G Darrell Greene
WR Marcus Johnson
RB Byron Marshall
C Aaron Neary
DT Aziz Shittu
CB CJ Smith
WR Paul Turner
WR David Watford
Expect another roster move in the near future for the Eagles. In his Monday press conference, Doug Pederson said the team was looking to sign a 3rd QB. Currently the team is carrying only Carson Wentz and Chase Daniel.
