NFL Week 4 schedule and TV listings

No Eagles game but lots of others!

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

Bye weeks are weird. There's NFL football, but you're just sitting there helpless and without a rooting interest, other than your fantasy team. It must be kind of like watching your children play each other in that you don't really care who wins. Unless you're the Mannings. We all know they were rooting for Peyton.

That's a really unappealing slate of games. The only game that features two good teams is the Sunday night game, Chiefs at Steelers. That should be a good one. For the day games, I would recommend either watching the Red Zone channel, going to the bar with your buddies, or asking your wife what she wants to do and doing that.

Eagles related items

The Week 4 schedule is not favorable to the Eagles. The Redskins should beat the Browns and improve to 2-2, and the Cowboys should beat the 49ers and improve to 3-1, tightening the NFC East. But the Giants should lose to the Vikings and drop to 2-2.

Jared Goff Watch

The Rams are 2-1 now, but Jared Goff is still riding the bench. Meanwhile Carson Wentz picked up Rookie of the Month honors. Oops.

Vikings 1st Round Pick Watch

The Vikings, like the Eagles, are 3-0, and they should be 4-0 after Monday night. We started this little segment was a way to see just how far back, or up, the Eagles essentially traded when you consider the Browns have the Eagles pick and the Eagles have the Vikings pick. But with the way Wentz is playing, who cares! If it's the 32nd pick, that's just fine.
