The Philadelphia Eagles have signed cornerback JaCorey Shepherd to their practice squad and released guard Darrell Greene to make room.

Shepherd was 6th round pick by the Eagles in 2015 and had looked to earn significant playing time as the team’s slot corner that season but missed the season when he tore his ACL early in the preseason. He was among final cuts in 2016. The Eagles currently only have four cornerbacks on the 53 man roster, and only three that are healthy with Leodis McKelvin currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Greene is an undrafted free agent from San Diego State and was given the most guaranteed money of any 2016 undrafted free agent. He was also among final cuts in 2016.
The Eagles practice squad currently stands at:
FB Andrew Bonnet, LB Don Cherry, RB Byron Marshall, QB Aaron Murray, C/G Aaron Neary, CB JaCorey Shepherd, DT Aziz Shittu, CB C.J. Smith, WR Paul Turner and WR David Watford.
