We've got two games on Monday night to kick off the Week 1 slate of Monday Night Football. I am excited about this. I'm sure you are, too.
In the first game, Washington hosts the Steelers. Former Eagle DeSean Jackson and Washington's Quarterback Of The Future For Better Or Worse™ Kirk Cousins will try to keep pace with the Eagles in the NFC East. The Steelers, of course, are without Le'Veon Bell for the first three games of the season, and Martavis Bryant for the entire season, due to suspensions. The Eagles face the Steelers in Week 3, and they face Washington in Week 6 and Week 14.
In the second game, the Chip Kelly era begins in San Francisco. The Eagles' former Head Coach/Not The General Manager/Tempo Maven/Enigma Of Assured Destruction is in charge of the 49ers this season. He's still running a no-huddle offense, and his quarterbacks are still not very good, and oh god the 49ers are so bad but I'm still going to watch this game. On the other side, Jared Goff is going to be inactive, but Todd Gurley is running the ball, so tune in maybe?
Here's how to watch these two very, very strange football games:
