The Eagles brought back linebacker Najee Goode this morning, filling out their 53 man roster.
Saturday roster move: #Eagles re-sign LB Najee Goode. Team now has 53 players heading into #CLEvsPHI.#FlyEaglesFly
— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) September 10, 2016
Goode was originally one of the initial roster cuts to get down to 53 from 75 on September 3rd. The Eagles roster has been at 52 men since the Eagles traded Eric Rowe to the Patriots for a draft pick.
Goode has been with the Eagles since 2013, appearing in 29 games and starting 1 in 2013.
Yesterday Doug Pederson stated that the team would go into Sunday's game with only 52 men on the 53 man roster but then tight end and key special teams player Trey Burton was listed as questionable with a calf injury. It would appear that Goode, who played in 70% of special teams snaps last year, was brought back in case Burton is unable to play.
